Okay girls. Stop what you’re doing right now. This is major. Maj. Or.
Coconut oil.
I swear by this stuff. Literally I use it on everything. Sunburns, hair mask, face mask, night time face lotion, makeup remover, eye cream, lip chap, and lastly… my food. There is something seriously magical about coconut oil and I am only upset that it took me 23 years to figure it out. My skin cleared up, my eyelashes thickened, my hair became healthier and I smelled like heaven. Coconut oil has antioxidant vitamin E, which is very protective for the skin. Remember to use ORGANIC coconut oil when using it on your skin to reduce absorption of evil toxins and pesticides.
Coconut oil has a ton of added health benefits. Studies have shown intake of coconut oil can help your body become more resistant to viruses and bacteria. It has anti-bacterial properties which is {uhhhhhh}mazing! This is why coconut oil is such a great face mask, it helps to pull out toxins and bacteria to leave you with glowing radiant skin. It also has been known to improve hormone imbalances and blood-sugar control. It can help improve insulin use within the body which ultimately helps with weight maintenance. It can help to increase metabolism, energy and endurance by boosting thyroid function and ALSO increase digestion.
This magical stuff has special fats called medium chain triglycerides which helps to efficiently burn energy when broken down in the liver. The burning of this energy help to decrease abdominal fat! {PERFECT}.
HAVING said this….. the intake of coconut oil should be done in moderation. Just like avocados, it’s a type of fat. Coconut oil can increase cholesterol levels when it is the primary source of ones fat intake. So basically, just mix up your use of coconut oil, extra-virgin olive oil, avocado oil, etc. Try to keep coconut oil ingestion to 1 to 2 tablespoons daily.
Please go to Costco and buy two big tubs. Not one. Two. One for the pantry and one for the bathroom. I also keep a small amount in a little makeup tester pot in my purse for emergencies… like hello. What is worse then a morning-after-in-HIS-bed-makeup-half-way-down-your-face-911…. Grab that shit, a Q-tip, slither to the bathroom and come out a goddess. I mean it brings a whole new meaning to I woke up like this ;)
