Amaze-Balls

Goooooooood AM lovers!!

How was everyone’s night? Low key? Eventful..? Whatever it was, I have a recipe for you.

Let’s keep with the post summer slim down theme. HOWEVER, sounds like some of you need something sweet and energizing all wrapped up into one pretty little… bliss ball.

Right? Knew it.

This recipe is a STAPLE of mine. I mean honestly, I bring it over for girls night as a little dessert but ALSO use them as a mid-afternoon pick me up, {or even a recovery day treat if those goldfish aren’t doing the trick}.

I have sent it to numerous girlfriends and they all gush over these sweet little bliss balls.

Okay okay, lets get to it.

Amaze-Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted dates {High in iron and fiber}
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened coconut
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 3/4 hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup Chia seeds {tons of nutrients, not many cals. Rich in Omega-3 fatty acid for that heart of yours, 3X that of salmon. Balances blood sugar which is vital for weight loss and energy levels.}
  • 3/4 cup cacao nibs
  • Cinnamon {several dashes}
  • Cocoa powder {however you want it girl}

Instructions

  • Tip: Soak dates in boiling water for 10 minutes. While the dates are soaking, in a food processor grind up the coconut, cranberries, hazelnuts and chia seeds until it’s a rough flour like texture.
  • Dump the mixture into a large bowl. Let cool in the fridge for about 10 mins and watch some RKOBH {Rich Kids of Bev Hills, obvi}
  • Next, put the softened dates, cacao chips, cinnamon and cocoa powder in the food processor and process until blended.
  • Dump date mixture into the large bowl as well. Mix everything together with your hands and form into balls.
  • Cool on a baking pan in the fridge for an hour or so.PS: Try adding some chocolate protein powder to add extra kick to those little beauties

VOILA :)
