GUYS. so I finally went and checked out the new Calgary Simons location really quickly but I still managed to find some AMAZING pieces.
Then I realized we haven’t even discussed spring 2017 trends.

I have a few I’m actually digging and ways that I would mix them into my wardrobe AKA you totally should too.
shirt dresses
Basically, grab your bfs dress shirt, tie it at the waist and walk out the door.
Okay maybe not actually, but thats exactly the style. Pair with some sneakers and you’re golden. I’m LOVING these Vince ones at Simons, thanks to my girl Taylor for pointing them out.
stripes
Any and every. We’re talking these kind of stripes. They are huge for the Spring season and I’m not mad about it. I don’t have a ton of striped pieces but maybe I should? What do you think?
khaki
Unsure. All I think about with this monochrome khaki situation is Kim K and Yeezy season whatever. I mean, that khaki slip dress in the collage I LOVE. I would totally rock that number. But the hoodie and pants khaki look? meh. Another option would be something like this. I don’t mind it. Khaki dress and jacket would look sophisticated.

I was super against this trend. I felt like it was a bit tacky, IF WE’RE BEING REAL HONEST. BUT THEN, I started seeing fashion bloggers pull it off in a way that was SO far from tacky. It looks casual, fun with a super edgy twist. Here is one of my fav looks paired with one teaspoon jeans.
Another option I found on ASOS is this. WEIRD RIGHT? But kind of cool… Lemme know what you think.
sleeve slits
LOVE love love love. I adore that navy dress in the collage or this number. I was actually walking through TopShop and noticed a slit sleeve romper. Here it is. AND it’s on sale for $57.50 CAD. UMMM YUP.

bra out
Mom, I know, you’re probably rolling your eyes at this one. I kind of am too, but it’s not horrendous. The crop top just got cropped even more.. We’re down to the bra. Paired with high waisted shorts or pants and a blazer. Here and here is what I mean. Still debating if I’ll sport this one.

YES. They actually were in awhile ago but I am SO happy to see a ton of variations coming out. One of my favs is that Wallace shoe by Vince at Simons. Another one I need is a sandal flatform like the one featured in my collage. Plus, I’d love an extra few inches so why not?

geeky glasses
This is just a trend I’m loving, is that allowed? Sure. I love seeing retro thin metal framed glasses on all of these fashion bloggers and models. I found a couple super budget friendly options here and here.
trendy oxfords
Yes!! I’ve been wearing a blue button down from Zara and I love it. Then I saw these edgy twisty oxfords and am head over heels for this trend. The one featured in the collage and this one are perfection. Great price too.
