There is one thing that I am loving lately.
The Velvet trend.
I have this infatuation with everything velvet. It started when I saw a photo of Gigi Hadid strutting the street in head to ankle denim and these FAB red pointed-toe mid-calf velvet boots.
I mean. STATE. MENT.
Right from Gigi’s feet and on to my Christmas wish list they went.
But wait. The obsession doesn’t stop there…. all of a sudden I was searching for velvet chokers, velvet slip dresses, velvet drapes, velvet pillows, velvet chaises, velvet headboards, velvet ottomans, I mean you get the idea.

The velvet dress is ON POINT this fall/winter. Holiday season just got a whole lot cozier. Deep burgundy dresses, jewel toned blues and greens. LOVING THIS TREND. PLUS anyone can pull it off. I’m not kidding.
Slip dresses to long sleeve numbers are the perfect outfit for office Christmas parties or xmas gatherings with friends & family.

Velvet is IN.
It’s popping up EVERYWHERE. And for good reason.
Velvet adds the perfect amount of GLAM to a blah room or a meh outfit.
It’s interesting. I just LOVE how the entire look can change based on how light is hitting it at that moment.

My fav fav fav is Homesense but Wayfair has a ton of velvet looks just in time for the holidays. It is SO warm, cozy and glamorous all at the same time. It’ll spice up a room in the easiest way. You can also download the app which is so convenient.
When it comes to outfit styling, pick ONE velvet item per outfit. Velvet shoes or velvet skirt or velvet dress or maybe a velvet choker. Those are my fav style options for this trend.
Especially during the holidays. Velvet skirt? Yes.
