WHITENING SENSITIVE TEETH AT HOME!

How many of you have went out and bought whitening trays from a dentist before?

Cue Smile Brilliant.

Remember when I shared about my teeth whitening tricks

I was still using that same set up. I even had laser whitening at a dental office, which was amazing but it is another appointment to set up and go to regularly.

When the opportunity to try at home whitening TRAYS came up, I immediately jumped at it. I’ve had a few friends who have used whitening trays from a dentist office and swear by it, but it can be really pricey. Smile Brilliant is WAYY more affordable while still providing the same, if not better, results.

I also wanted to try something that I could do AT HOME for my sensitive teeth and that was a bit more intense than a drugstore solution.

Smile Brilliant is everything I was looking for. You get CUSTOM made whitening trays that are SOOO comfortable. They are super flexible and fit perfectly, not like those big clunky plastic trays I see some people getting.

Let’s first get into the process.

They send a box filled with 3 molding paste sets, molding trays and a number of whitening/desensitizing gel syringes. The instructions are incredibly simple and the whole molding process is over in a pinch. Then you mail your molds back to Smile Brilliant in the envelope and return label that is included. From Canada I had to pay extra postage, however the fee is only like $10. In a few days they mail you your custom trays! After that comes the fun part.

If you have had sensitivity issues with whitening get the desensitizing gels as well. I did.

I’ve included a little how to video below but basically the steps are to brush your teeth WITHOUT TOOTHPASTE, dry your teeth as well as you can, squirt 1/3 of the a whitening gel syringe into the top AND bottom tray, pop the trays in and wait 1-3 hours. Also, use a q tip to remove any gel that has spilled over the trays.

PRO TIP: cover your gums in coconut oil to prevent irritation.

When done, take out your trays, rinse them and brush your teeth with toothpaste.

The desensitizing gel comes AFTER the whitening gel

Once you’ve brushed your teeth, squirt1/3 of a desensitizing gel syringe into the top AND bottom tray, pop the trays in and wait for as long as you can.. at least 20 mins.

Remove the same way you did before and DONE!

I let mine air dry in the cute little container they give you.

In 2 weeks, you’re going to be noticing a HUGE different. Check out mine below ;)

You guys know I have been keeping up with my whitening routines so I personally started with fairly white teeth however I noticed my smile was even BRIGHTER after the first week!!

I love how I can pop them in and they don’t slide around like the Crest white strips do. I’m not swallowing so much whitening stuff, UGH gross. Also, I was wondering if the trays would bother me but they don’t at all honestly. They are so soft and flexible. I pop mine in and read a book or watch a movie then head to bed. Easy peasy.
