MakeUp Eraser Cloth // But Does It REALLY Work.. and HOW?

Drea Marie shares whether she thinks the Makeup Eraser Cloth really works and HOW! Talk about a makeup revolution.

Hey you heyyyyy

I’ve been busy planning this seasons blog posts and can’t waiiiiiit to share. BUT I need to talk about this MakeUp Eraser Cloth for a hot second.

Who has one?

Do you love it?

So I have TWO. Two different kinds. I absolutely LOVE the idea of them and use BOTH interchangeably. I actually chatted about my Jane Iredale Magic Mitt a little in this post.

But have you wondered if it ACTUALLY works? Like ACTUALLY removes the icky dirt and grime from your busy day?

YAH SAME.

Well, I went searching. This is what I found.

This blanket-soft cloth removes all types of cosmetics – including waterproof makeup and mascaras – without chemicals or potentially hazardous removers. Just add warm water to the woven polyester blend, and you can remove even the toughest makeup. The Makeup Eraser can be washed and reused hundreds of times before needing to be replaced.

So I couldn’t find a detailed explanation on HOW this magical cloth removes the makeup.

However, Jane Iredales Magic Mitt site had this to say,

  • A knitted micro-fiber cleansing cloth that quickly and completely removes makeup using water only.
  • Promotes the health of the skin because it does not affect the acid mantle. When this beneficial barrier is intact, it aids the skin in protecting itself from harmful and invasive bacteria.
  • Made from a new generation of specially knitted micro-fibers many times thinner than a human hair and which are able to penetrate oil films.
  • This hydro-mechanical process breaks the surface tension of the oils that bond makeup to the skin while the fibers gently exfoliate.
  • The combination of warm water and micro-fibers turn the makeup into an emulsion that is easily swept away by the mitt. It will even remove mascara!”

So I’m assuming the same technology is used with the MakeUp Eraser, but the MakeUp Eraser is apparently the ORIGINAL…. Founded in 2012.

With a 4.3 out of 5 rating on Sephora from 1,498 reviews.. You know it works.

Just DON’T rub too hard on your face. Make sure the cloth is saturated with warm water and be gentle.

ALSO, the Magic Eraser Cloth magically erases my pores too. Has anyone else noticed that?! Honestly, I use the “exfoliating” side after removing my makeup/washing my face and my pores aren’t as noticeable. I LOVE THAT.

Consensus? LOVE.

Esp for travelling. Just throw it into the toiletries bag and head out. Next time you’re at Sephora I suggest popping one into your basket.

Lastly, I will totally be honest. If there is a little bit of stubborn makeup around my eyes {rare} I just remove it with a drop of organic grape seed oil instead of fighting it. I actually use it when I stay at hotels rather than packing makeup remover.. It’s organic, natural and it works. Check out some more of my DIY beauty secrets here.

Ciao darrrrrrling.
