Mulled Wine

Guess what is so good… Mulled wine.
It’s the perfect holiday drink. PLUS make it in a crock pot, double, triple the recipe and serve it up at your next holiday party.

Let’s get brewing.

Mulled Wine

  • 1 bottle red wine // Use an inexpensive fruity red that’s on the sweet side try Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel or Yellow Tail Sangria
  • 3 cups unsweetened apple cider {NOT APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!!!}
  • 1/4 cup honey or white sugar
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4-5 star anise
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp fresh ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/2 lemon {sliced}
  • 2 small oranges {sliced}
  • Cranberries {optional for garnish}

Directions: Toss in wine, sugar or honey, apple cider to the slow cooker and stir. Add the cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, and anise. Turn on slow cooker for 30 minutes to 1 hour. After that, stir in the brandy and add the sliced oranges + lemon. Let mull for a few minutes. Ladle into mugs and service with an orange slice, cinnamon stick and a few cranberries. To keep the wine warm, leave the slow cooker on the “keep warm” setting. If your slow cooker does not have a warm setting, alternate between “low” and off.
