Spring Style Report

It’s time to start unthawing. Spring is on it’s way and we need to get our outfits in order. It’s time for a

Spring Style Report

Wooooohhooooo! I can hardly wait to get started. Okay so below are trends and fashions that I’m loving for spring this year. I also touch on a few I’m not loving….

Alright ladies, this spring is all about effortless style. Comfort all the way. I’m sure all the men are cringing so, HAVING SAID THAT, it doesn’t give you the right to go full MC Hammer. Effortless style doesn’t translate to grungy mess. It’s all about pairing high end style with comfort. The effort is still there.

  1. Bold Prints.

    Lets explore this one shall we. Bold floral prints are huge for spring. Really? I’ve never been a huge fan, especially of a bold floral jumpsuit. BUT I would definitely go for a pattern silk pant OR an Aztec, striped or basically any other patterned jumpsuit, but not floral. That’s my personal suggestion.

  2. Kimono Style Jackets {Yes}

    I love this trend. I am and always will be a fan of the tailored, fitted jacket but for this spring why not try out a longer, flowey Kimono style jacket? Super trendy and effortless.

  3. Head to Toe White.

    There is something so sleek about sporting head to toe white. First off, I know it can be terrifying. White usually makes people look larger and black is usually slimming. If you add layers to your white outfit, this can help draw the attention to the outfit and off of you. Plus it can hide any areas of concern.

  4. Military

    Always a fan. Cargos and olives. Don’t create an entirely military outfit but pair some cargos with a black or white blouse or a military inspired jacket with some silky black pants and a pointed pump.

  5. Throw back, 70’s style…. Hm. No thanks. lets skip it.

  6. Dress/sweater over pants or my fav.. leather leggings.

    I’m loving this trend. My suggestion is to buy a plain black silk slip and then play with different cardigan and sweaters overtop. Check out this photo {perfection} and also the collage below for another variation.

Below is my {Hit List}. These are the items I’m needing in my closet for spring.

Hit List:

– Silk pants {patterns are big for spring}
– Black ripped jeans
– Jumpsuits
Strinny jeans.. A mix between skinny and straight. #Need
– Dresses/Silk slips over leggings
– Flashy kicks {booties}. Think animal print. Leopard, python, etc.
– Ear cuffs. LOVE.
– Fringe crossbody. {Fringe is something that’s super hot this spring, unsure how I feel about it… SO my compromise is a small crossbody nothing too flashy}
