Birthday Fit for a Queen {Go Shorty}

It’s Saturday.

It’s May Long.

& It’s my birthday WEEKEND!!! #Yaaaaaasss

If you’re like me, you know the entire weekend is a marathon of birthday mimosas, birthday lunches, birthday dinners, birthday selfies, birthday margaritas, and birthday manicures.

AKA Hectic.
Today I’m sharing my secrets on how to celebrate a birthday fit for a Queen ;)

First things first ladies…..

Drea Marie’s Birthday Starbucks Order

Ask for a Grande Soy Americano Misto with 2 pumps {sugar-free, if avail} toffee nut.

A little something different then the usual vanilla, caramel or hazelnut. You’ll need the extra Americano surge to get you through the birthday shenanigans looking bright eyed and bushy tailed ;)

Now let’s get to it.

Glamorous Guide to Having a Bad A$$ Birthday:

Champagne Campaign

Make sure you start your birthday off right with some bubbly. Here are some tips + tricks to keep in mind.

+ My fav sparkling wine: Prosecco

+ Prosecco, Cava and Champagne are different types of sparkling wines made from different grapes.

+ The most popular style of sparkling wine is Brut {dry}. The slightly sweet style of sparkling wine is Sec.

+ Poppin’ Bottles

– Serve sparkling wine COLD. Around 46-50F.
– An average bottle of sparkling wine fills 6 flute glasses.
– Fill each flute 2/3 way full.

+ Strawberry OJ Birthday Mimosa’s

+ Grab some fresh strawberries & OJ, toss in a Magic Bullet and purée
+ Pour a small amount into each flute
+ Fill 2/3 way full with Champagne or Prosecco
+ Garnish with a strawberry sliced on the rim.

Get your pretty on.

Schedule that mani, pedi, facial or/& blow out. It’s all about feeling good ladies. I suggest scheduling these little treats {except the blow out, obvi} a day or two before so you’re already glam when you wake up and can focus on mimosa’s and birthday gatherings.

It’s Party Time.

Don’t over do it. Don’t create a massive birthday bash. Trust me. Someone always feels left out or awkward and this ends up causing stress for you… the birthday princess. Leave the drama for the Real Housewives. Go for dinner to a fav restaurant. Somewhere with fun drinks & a lively atmosphere. You could even plan a fun brunch or lunch if you want something different then dinner & drinks.
I would normally give a few recipes however, it’s your day to be catered. Let’s take the stress out of this party planning for once.

And please, make sure you indulge in a delicious cupcake. You deserve it.

What to Wear.

You’re the birthday Queen! This is your time to shine. Get a pair of bright heels, a statement necklace or neon top. Wear something to bring attention to your gorgeous self. I mean, you are the life of the party tonight ;)
