How was everyone’s weekend?!
Who was last minute present shopping/still is? Yeaaaa me too.
Don’t worry we still have time. I’m probably going to keep saying that until Christmas Eve. So while everyone battles in line for the last Hatchimal at ToysRus I’ll be here with all the info you need for that perfect holiday hair style.
And giiiirrrrlllll, it’s curls.
YES!! Big, perfect curls that STAY for not hours but days. Isn’t that perfect for the hectic holiday week ahead? I’m sure family is on their way in or maybe you’re travelling to see them so pack that dry shampoo and let’s start.
I have a secret. Like a BIG BIG secret. It’s called TYME.
This little invention has changed my hair game.
If you follow along on Snapchat or IG you may know what I’m talking about and yes I’m finally sharing the 411.
This iron doesn’t only curl either, it straightens too. You can create a number of hair styles that actually STAY PUT with this one iron. Essentially, you start out as if you are straightening your hair, then turn your wrist and guide the hair forward slowly. VOILA, A FREAKIN’ CURL.
You’re probably sitting there like okay Drea I don’t understand and I know; a) it’s magical b) I’m probably not explaining it well. HERE IS A VIDEO.
You can also set up a FREE styleTYME with their fab stylists. Genevieve was a doll. She helped me perfect my technique and answer any questions I had.
Okay also just a SMALL side note. You guys might remember me mentioning my arthritis and how it has affected me; this TYME iron design is a revolution. It’s so much easier for me.HAVING SAID THAT, do not get discouraged at first when you mess up or get confused. Just remember the technique and after a couple times using the iron you’ll be creating new styles like a pro.
I also used Oribe’s thick dry finishing spray {key to life} and Drybar’s Money Maker hairspray {LOVE THIS SCENT SO MUCH} for this holiday hairstyle but you actually don’t even need product. I don’t always use it. The curls stay like no body’s business.
The last thing I do with my TYME iron is quickly run over the curls like a straightener just to flatten them down a bit and I gently brush them out with either my fingers or my brush.
I’ll be using this thing all season long. Perfect for Xmas, brunchs, lunchs, dinners, gatherings, coffee dates, shopping trips, okay I’m going to stop before we all have panic attacks.Tis’ the season!
